Built into the Texas Hill Country, Lakecliff Golf Club delivers waterfalls, rolling elevation, and rock-lined creeks that tighten your targets without taking away the fun. It is one of Arnold Palmer’s more relaxed designs, rooted in the idea that great golf should be challenging without feeling punishing. Wide fairways and smart greens give you room to swing, while the landscape looks like a postcard if postcards smelled like cedar, sunscreen, and warm Texas air.
This is our second Texas Classic and a long-awaited return home. You get the full RGC treatment with a full day on a course that rewards bold swings, patient strategy, and the kind of calm optimism that Palmer carried everywhere he went. By the last hole, Lakecliff feels like the course that was always meant to host an RGC Classic.

WHAT MAKES THIS ROUND A CLASSIC?
Lakecliff is only our second Texas Classic, and it sets the tone for how big 2026 is going to be. The design carries Palmer’s signature balance of risk and reward. The landscape brings the drama without ever feeling forced. It is a course people do not talk about enough, which is exactly why we wanted to bring a Classic here. By the time you walk off the eighteenth green, you will be wondering why it is not on more destination lists. You might even start planning a rematch on the drive home.

THE HISTORY
Lakecliff was designed by Arnold Palmer and shaped with the belief that golf should feel welcoming even when the terrain creates natural challenge. The Hill Country provides the personality. Limestone cliffs, creeks, and ridgelines frame each hole without being overworked. The par threes are among the most photographed in Texas. The routing dips through tree lines, drifts along elevation changes, and finishes on greens that reward creativity more than aggression. It feels classic Palmer: strategic, scenic, and built for golfers who love variety.

No. RGC Classics are built for all skill levels. We do cap playing handicaps at 18 for men and 28 for women to keep the competition fair.
Yes. We’ll pair you with another RGC Member. Most friendships start on the first tee anyway.

Definitely. Just be mindful of other players and the pace of play. We’ll also have an event photographer sharing photos after the round.

Caddies depend on the course and are optional. They are not included in the ticket price.
