The Mines
A gypsum mine that became a golf course. The routing uses the old workings and it's brilliant.

The land here was industrial before it was anything else. The course on top of it now uses what's left of the old workings, and the mine history is visible on the fourth and sixth in particular.

Michigan does public golf as well as anywhere in the country. The Mines is one of the reasons why.

PLAYER'S PASS: $75.00

A hundred deep, walking ground that used to be a mine, playing holes that didn't exist thirty years ago. Honest pace, long round, at least one moment you'll be talking about over dinner.
